LinkedIn is where most people show their qualifications to recruiters, so it is the first place a new certificate should go. It takes about a minute.

Step by step

  1. Open your LinkedIn profile and select Add profile section.
  2. Choose Recommended, then Add licenses & certifications.
  3. Enter the certificate name, the issuing organisation, and the issue and expiry dates.
  4. Paste the credential ID and the credential URL from your certificate page.
  5. Select Save.

A screenshot of a certificate proves very little: anyone can edit an image. A credential URL lets a recruiter open the original record, see who issued it and confirm it is still valid. It turns a claim into evidence.

For issuers: make it one click

Most recipients will not hunt for a credential ID. Credential platforms such as Hyperstack put an Add to LinkedIn profile button on every credential page, which fills in the form for the recipient. The easier it is, the more often your certificates are seen.
