An art certificate template is for the moment a piece of work is chosen: a school art prize, a place in a juried exhibition, first prize in a community painting competition or a youth award at a gallery. Art teachers, studio schools, art societies, museums and arts councils give them at prize evenings and exhibition openings, to pupils, students and adult entrants alike.
A good art award says more than a name. It names the program, says what the jury saw in the work (an original idea, sound technique, a confident use of colour), records the selected piece and its medium, and carries the date and the signatures of the head of art or the chair of the jury.
The designs come as certificates in A4 and US Letter and as badges that winners can share online next to a photo of the work.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Yes. A line such as "Selected work: Morning Harbour, oil on canvas" turns the award into a record of the piece itself. Add the category and the place (first prize, highly commended) so anyone who sees it knows exactly what the jury chose.
In a school it is usually the head of art or the art teacher, sometimes with the head teacher. For a competition or exhibition, the chair of the jury or the gallery director signs, often next to the organiser.
Most juries look at the originality of the idea, technical skill in the chosen medium, the use of colour and composition, and how well the piece answers the theme. Many publish these criteria with the call for entries so artists know what counts.
Many organisers give a certificate of participation to every entrant and a separate award to the winners and the highly commended. It encourages young artists to enter again, while the prize certificates stay special.
At the exhibition opening or a prize evening, when the work is on the wall and families are in the room. Sending the digital certificate the same day lets winners share it while the show is still on.
