Employee of the Quarter recognises one person for three months of strong work, and an employee of the quarter certificate template turns that choice into a record they can keep. Managers, HR teams or a small recognition committee usually decide at the quarterly business review and present the award at the next all-hands, team meeting or town hall.
A quarter is long enough to show real results and short enough that the work is still fresh, so a good certificate is specific. It names the quarter and year, gives a one-line reason, and lists two to four results: goals beaten, a project delivered, a customer won back, a new colleague helped to find their feet. A manager and a senior leader usually sign it.
The designs here come as certificates in A4 and US Letter and as digital badges the winner can share.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Most teams combine the quarter's numbers with nominations. Managers bring the results from the quarterly review, colleagues nominate people for teamwork or help given, and a small panel picks one name against criteria everyone saw at the start of the quarter.
It suits teams whose goals run on a quarterly cycle, and smaller teams where a monthly award would soon come round to the same few people. A month is often too short to show a full result; a quarter usually is not.
Some companies allow it when the results are clearly the best. Many others set a rule that a winner must wait one or two quarters before they can win again, so recognition reaches more people. Write the rule down before the first award.
Use the quarter your company reports in, and add the year, for example Q3 2026. If your fiscal year does not start in January, add the months as well, such as July to September, so the date reads clearly to people outside the company.
A common way is to put the four quarterly winners on the shortlist for employee of the year. The panel then compares a full year of work, which keeps the annual choice fair and gives every quarterly award more weight.
