Design notes

In this portrait design the chart becomes a band across the middle of the page. Above it are the logo, the organisation, the award title and the name in a formal script; below it a results line climbs through Month 1, Month 2 and Month 3, passes the dashed target and finishes in a gold node. The centred record underneath gives the statement, four achievements in two columns, the award period, the selection panel, the issue date and the credential ID, with two signatures either side of the QR code.

About

Employee of the Quarter Certificate Template, Above Target

Many companies name an employee of the quarter so recognition keeps pace with the business cycle. Each quarter ends with a review of targets, and the award goes to the colleague whose results, initiative and teamwork stood out in those thirteen weeks. HR teams often pin the certificate to a recognition wall or post it on the intranet, and a tall format fits both of those places well.

Wording on the template“For a quarter that finished above target: results delivered with initiative and ownership, and a generosity with time and ideas that lifted the whole team.”

Subject: name, you are our Employee of the Quarter

Dear name,

When we looked back over the last three months, your work stood out: the results you delivered, the projects you carried and the time you gave to the people around you. It is our pleasure to name you Employee of the Quarter.

Your certificate and badge are ready. Open them to read the citation, download the certificate to print or pin up, and share the badge on LinkedIn so your network can see the quarter you had.

Thank you, and congratulations.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

I am proud to be named Employee of the Quarter. These three months were full of hard targets, a busy launch and a lot of good teamwork, and none of it happened alone. Thank you to my colleagues for the support and to my manager for the trust. Now on to the next quarter. #EmployeeOfTheQuarter #TeamWork

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.

Certificate

  • A full record: name, statement, skills, dates and signatures
  • Printed and framed, or kept as a PDF
  • Opens to a page anyone can verify

Digital badge

  • A small image people put on LinkedIn and in email signatures
  • Carries the verified details inside it (Open Badges 2.0)
  • One click shows who earned it and who issued it
