A teacher training certificate template gives a school, a district or a training provider a clean way to close a block of professional development. Teachers take part in in-service days, after-school workshops, summer institutes and coaching cycles all through their careers, and each one should leave a record they can keep: what the course was, how many hours it took and what it covered.
A good certificate reads like that record. It names the teacher and the course, says in a sentence what they can now do in their classroom, lists the areas covered, gives the PD hours and the format, and carries the signatures of the person who led the training and a school leader. An issue date and a credential ID let a later reader check it.
The designs come as certificates in A4 and US Letter and as digital badges for a profile or a portfolio.
Wording
What to write on a teacher training certificate
Use these lines as they are, or as a start for your own. Every template comes with wording you can change in the studio.
Statements for a certificate for teacher training

- “Took part in every session of this in-service programme and planned a sequence of lessons with the new methods.”
- “Completed the course and wrote a reflection on how the training changed their classroom practice.”
Lines for a certificate of teacher training course completion
- “This confirms that the teacher named above has completed the course and the hours shown.”
- “Awarded on completion of the professional development programme, including all sessions and the final task.”
- “Presented for completing the training and the classroom follow-up agreed with the course lead.”
Short lines for the badge or the staff newsletter

FAQ
Questions, answered
Keep one log for the year with the date, the course, the provider, the hours and a short note on what changed in your teaching, and file the certificate for each entry next to it. A digital credential helps, because the issuer, the hours and the date stay in one place and do not get lost when you change schools.
The teacher's name, the course title, the number of hours, the format (in person, online or blended), the date, the areas covered and a signature from the course lead or a school leader. A short statement of what the teacher can now do makes the record more useful at appraisal time than a title alone.
That depends on the body that renews the licence. Many education departments ask teachers to complete an amount of professional development in each renewal period, and each sets its own rules on which providers and activities it accepts. A certificate from a school or a training provider is a record of the training, so check the renewal rules before you count it.
Usually the person who led the training, such as the PD lead, an instructional coach or the external trainer, together with a school leader who confirms attendance. For a district programme, the professional learning office often signs in place of the school.
Use the unit your teachers report in: many schools and districts count PD hours, others count CPD hours or continuing education units. Show a credit value only when the body that awards that credit has agreed to it for this course; otherwise give the hours and let the teacher's own record convert them.
Soon after the last session, and after any follow-up task the course asks for, such as a lesson plan or a classroom observation. Teachers often need the record for an appraisal or a log deadline, so it is better not to make them wait for an end-of-year batch.
