A dean's list certificate template helps a college or university mark one of the first honors a student can earn: a place on the Dean's List for a single term. At the end of each fall or spring semester, the dean's office reviews term grades and names every student who met the school's standard. Each school sets its own threshold, usually a minimum term grade point average together with a full-time course load and no incomplete or failing grades.
A good certificate for Dean's List recognition names the student, the term and year, the college or program, and the standard that was met in the school's own words. It carries the dean's signature, often with the registrar's, the issue date and a way to verify it. The designs here come as certificates in A4 and US Letter and as digital badges, so students can frame the paper and share the honor online.

FAQ
Questions, answered
There is no single rule. Each school sets its own threshold and publishes it in the academic catalog, usually as a minimum term grade point average plus a minimum number of graded credits. Some colleges inside the same university use different standards, so state your own rule on the certificate.
Most schools name the list once per term, after final grades are posted for the fall and spring semesters. Schools on a quarter or trimester calendar announce it each quarter or trimester. Summer sessions are often left out because few students carry a full load.
The list is the dean's honor, so the dean's name and signature are expected. Many institutions add the registrar, who records the notation on the transcript, and a department head may sign for a program-level list. A printed or digital signature is common when hundreds of students make the list each term.
It depends on the school. Many require a full-time load of graded credits, but some keep a separate part-time list or count the credits completed over two consecutive terms. If your school has a part-time list, give it its own certificate title so the two are not confused.
No. The Dean's List is a term honor based on one semester's grades. Graduation honors such as cum laude are awarded once, at the end of a degree, on the cumulative record. A student can make the list several times and still graduate without honors, or the reverse.
Yes. Because the honor is earned for one term, the term name and year are what make the certificate meaningful, and they let a student who makes the list again receive a separate record for each term.
