Certificate of Merit certificate templates and badges

A certificate of merit template helps you recognise work that met a high standard: a student's term of steady effort, a club member's season, an employee's project that went beyond the brief. Schools present these awards at assemblies and prize days, clubs at annual dinners, and workplaces at team meetings and year-end reviews.
A good certificate of merit names the person, says plainly what they did and to what level, and carries a date and a signature from someone with standing, such as a principal, a club chair or a manager. Specific words matter more than decoration: "for leading the robotics team to the regional final" says far more than "for excellent work".
The designs come as certificates in A4 and US Letter and as badges, so you can print the award for the wall and also send a copy by email that the recipient can verify and share.

FAQ
Questions, answered
A certificate of achievement usually marks that something was completed, such as a course, a level or a grade. A certificate of merit marks how well it was done. Many schools give an achievement certificate to everyone who finishes and keep the merit award for the few whose work stood out.
Any school, club, employer, association or community group can. No authority controls the title, so its value comes from the issuer: clear criteria, a named reason on the certificate and a signature from someone the recipient respects.
Few enough that each one means something. Some schools give one per subject each term, and clubs often give one per category each season. Write the criteria down before you choose, so the awards are fair and easy to explain to parents or members.
Yes. A principal, a parent association or a district office can award a certificate of merit for teachers, for example for mentoring new staff, starting a new programme or a year of strong results. Name the contribution, not only the role.
What the person did, over what period and to what standard, in one or two sentences. "For consistently thorough lab reports in Year 10 chemistry" is better than "for hard work", because the recipient and anyone who reads it later can see why it was earned.
Two signatures are common and show that the award was agreed, not given on a whim. In a school that is usually the principal with the class teacher or head of department; in a club, the president or the coach; at work, the manager and a senior leader.
