A training session certificate template gives trainers a quick way to confirm that someone attended a single instructor-led session: a two-hour safety briefing, a new software rollout, a first aid refresher or a customer service workshop. HR teams, in-house learning teams, consultants and professional associations hand it out at the end of the session or email it the same day.
A good attendance training certificate is a short, honest record. It names the attendee and the session, says what the group covered, gives the date and the length in hours, and lists any CPD credits the session earns. A signature from the trainer, and often from the head of learning, makes it count when the attendee logs it.
The designs come as certificates in A4 and US Letter and as digital badges, so the same session can be printed for a training file and shared online.

FAQ
Questions, answered
An attendance certificate says the person was present for the session. A completion certificate says they also finished the required work, such as a quiz or a practical task. Use the word that matches what you checked, so the record stays honest.
No. Count only the time spent learning, so a morning session with a coffee break of 20 minutes is shorter than the room booking. If a professional body accredits the session, use the hours or points that body allows and name it on the certificate.
Yes, a short list of three to six topics helps. A manager or an auditor reading it later can see what the session taught, and the attendee can match it to their development plan.
Most trainers do not. Set a rule before the session, for example at least 90% of the time present, and issue the certificate only to people who meet it. For partial attendance, record the hours they actually attended.
Yes. The trainer's name and role, with a signature, show who led the session and who can confirm the attendance. Many organisations add a second signature from the head of learning or HR so the record also has the organisation's approval.
