A nursing CE certificate template gives continuing education providers a ready record to issue when a nurse finishes an activity: a webinar, a skills day, a conference session or a self-paced module. Hospital education departments, nursing associations, schools of nursing and independent providers send them, and nurses file each one toward the contact hours that their licence or specialty certification asks for at renewal.
A good nursing continuing education certificate reads like one line of that file: the nurse's name, the activity title, the completion date, the contact hours, the provider and any provider number, and the approval or accreditation statement in the exact words the approving body gives. When an activity has no approval, leave the statement out rather than write one.
The designs here come as printable certificates in A4 and US Letter and as digital badges to share online.

FAQ
Questions, answered
The nurse's name, the activity title, the date it was completed, the number of contact hours, the provider's name and any provider or approval number, and the approval statement when the activity is approved. Boards of nursing may audit a renewal and ask for these certificates, so each one should stand on its own as proof.
Most approving bodies count one contact hour as 60 minutes of learning time, but the rules for short sessions and fractions differ. Use the method your approver sets, and show the hours as a number on the certificate.
It can give a nursing certificate of attendance for any in-service. For the hours to count toward licence renewal, the activity usually needs approval from a body the board of nursing accepts, or the hospital must be an approved provider itself. Check your state board's rules before you print contact hours.
The space holds a bracketed placeholder only. Replace it with the exact statement your approving body gives you, word for word, or remove it if the activity is not approved. For general guidance, see the ANCC certificate requirements page on this site; your own approver's rules come first.
It helps. Some renewals ask for hours in a set subject, such as pharmacology for advanced practice nurses or a mandated topic in some states, and a list of what was covered lets the nurse show which hours belong where.
