A speaker certificate template gives hosts a ready way to thank the people who give their time to talk: a keynote at a conference, a guest lecture at a university, an alumnus at a school career day or a practitioner at a staff training seminar. Most guest speakers are not paid, or are paid little, so a certificate of appreciation is often the main formal thank-you they receive.

A good one names the speaker, the event and the date, says in one or two sentences what the talk gave the audience, and carries the signature of the person who invited them. Speakers keep these as a record of their invited talks, so details such as the session title, the venue and the audience help.

The designs come as certificates in A4 and US Letter and as badges that speakers can add to a profile or a bio, and each can be verified online.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Many hosts hand it over at the end of the talk, which also shows the audience that the speaker is valued. If the program runs late or the speaker joined online, send it within a day or two with the thank-you email, while the session is still fresh.
