A student of the month certificate template helps a school say thank you to one child in each class whose month stood out. Class teachers in preschools, elementary and middle schools usually choose the student, the principal signs, and the award is given at a morning assembly or in class, then posted on the board by the office.
This award is about character as much as marks. A good student of the month award certificate names the student, the month and the class, and says in plain words what the teacher saw: steady effort, kindness to classmates, a good attitude or real progress in reading or maths. A short reason gives the child and the family something to be proud of.
The designs come as certificates in A4 and US Letter, ready to print for the classroom wall or the fridge at home, and as digital badges for a school app or a student portfolio.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Most schools give each class teacher a short list of traits for the month, such as effort, kindness or responsibility, and the teacher picks the student who showed them best. Some schools let specialist teachers or classmates put names forward too.
Many elementary schools make sure every child wins once, so the award builds confidence across the class. Others keep it for real stand-out months. Choose one rule, tell families about it, and keep it the same all year.
Use both when you can. The class teacher's signature shows who noticed the work, and the principal's turns a classroom moment into a whole-school award.
Yes. Many schools pick one trait for each month, such as respect in September or perseverance in January, and give the award to the student who showed it best. Put the trait in the reason line on the certificate.
Send the certificate home or email it on the day it is given, add a line to the school newsletter, and put a photo on the hallway board if the family agrees. Always ask before you post a child's name or picture online.
Low-cost privileges work best: lunch with the principal, a special seat in class, a new book, or being line leader for a week. For most children the certificate and the moment at assembly matter most.
