Many organisations invite nominations from staff, then ask a small panel to score each idea on originality, impact and how far it has been put into practice. Publishing the criteria in advance makes the choice feel fair.

Name the idea in a few words, say what changed because of it (hours saved, costs cut, customers helped) and add the date it was recognised. Specific results make the award more credible than general praise.
