Counseling Skills certificate templates and badges
3 free designs. A set is one design as a badge, a landscape or a portrait certificate, or all three.
Free for up to 20 recipients a year
A counseling certificate template gives training providers a ready record for people who complete a counseling skills course: teachers and pastoral staff, nurses and care workers, HR teams, youth workers, volunteer listeners and students taking a first step toward a counselling career. Colleges, adult education centres, charities and employers issue it when the taught weeks and the supervised practice are done.
A good one says what the learner practised, not only that they attended: active listening, empathy and rapport, questioning, ethics and boundaries, self-care. It names the course length and how the skills were assessed, carries the date, a credential ID and the signature of the tutor or clinical supervisor.
The designs come as certificates in A4 and US Letter and as digital badges, so a learner can frame the counselling certificate, keep it in a training portfolio and share the badge online.

FAQ
Questions, answered
No. A skills course teaches the basics of helping conversations and is often the first step of a longer training. Practising as a counsellor or therapist usually needs an accredited diploma or degree, supervised client hours and, in many places, registration or a licence. Say clearly on the certificate that it records completion of a skills course.
List the skills practised, for example active listening, empathy and rapport, questioning, ethics and boundaries and self-care, and add one sentence on how they were assessed, such as recorded practice sessions reviewed in supervision. Put the course length and any level, such as foundation or intermediate, in a short details line.
Usually the course tutor, and where the course includes supervised practice, the clinical or practice supervisor as well. Some providers add the head of the training centre or the program director.
Yes, when the course had them. Recorded or observed practice and feedback in supervision are what make a skills course practical, and a line about them tells an employer that the skills were seen in use, not only taught.
Yes. Many people take these courses to support others in their current role rather than to become counsellors. For them the certificate is evidence of training in listening, boundaries and referral, which fits a CPD record, an appraisal or a job application.
