Design notes

This badge is a bronze civic plaque. COMMUNITY SERVICE curves over the top of the rim, and inside it a small town map shows blocks, a park and a diagonal avenue. A red route stops at two street corners and ends at a ringed you-are-here mark in the centre, while a dark slate bar across the lower part reads 40 HOURS. It stays clear at small sizes, so it works as a profile badge for students and volunteers.

About

Community Service Hours Badge Template, Route Map Plaque

Many service programs set a milestone in hours: 40 for a high school graduation requirement, a service-learning course or a year with a volunteer corps. A digital badge marks that milestone where people look for it, on a LinkedIn profile, a college application portfolio or an email signature, and links back to the verified record that the school, the nonprofit or the employer volunteer program keeps.

Wording on the template“has given 40 hours of service to the community: sorting donations at the food bank, clearing the riverside park, tutoring younger students and helping at community centre events.”

Subject: name, your community service certificate is ready

Hi name,

Your service hours are checked and complete. Thank you for every shift you gave, at the food bank, in the park, with the younger students or wherever you were needed. The people you helped noticed, and so did we.

Your certificate of community service is ready. Open it to see your sites and hours, download a copy to print for your portfolio, or share it on LinkedIn or with a college so they can verify it online.

With thanks from all of us.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

I have just completed 40 hours of community service: food bank shifts, a riverside clean-up, tutoring younger students and helping at our community centre. Each place taught me something different about the people who live a few streets away from me. Thank you to the coordinators and supervisors who made it possible. #CommunityService #Volunteering
