Design notes
The badge is the honour board itself, reduced to its simplest form: an arched head with a gilt star, a moulded cornice, a raised navy panel and a plinth. ACADEMIC and EXCELLENCE are set in spaced gilt capitals above a single lit gilt rule, the row a name is lettered on. The heavy mouldings and large letters stay legible at 120 pixels, so it works as a profile badge, in an email signature or on a student dashboard.
