Design notes

This page is recomposed for a tall sheet. The top half is the scoreboard: the club logo in the crest, the name on the green board, the line score of cream plates with its red X, and a hung sign that carries the program. Under it the page reads like a score book, with a short statement and six highlights on the left, a ruled season record on the right, then two signatures, with the date, a unique ID and a scan code at the foot. It is a good fit for leagues that print and hand over awards at a team party.

About

Baseball Award Certificate, Scoreboard Portrait

Many coaches want an award that fits a standard frame and a team binder. A portrait certificate does that for the end-of-season award in a youth baseball league, a school team or a summer camp, and it leaves room to write down what the player actually did: games played, position and the skills the coaches liked.

Wording on the template“A steady bat, sure hands and a team-first spirit from the first pitch of spring to the final out: a season the whole dugout will remember. Chosen by the coaches for the league's season award.”

Subject: Your baseball season award, name

Hi name,

What a season! Your effort at the plate, in the field and in the dugout made a real difference to the team, and the coaches wanted to say thank you properly.

Your award is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print for the wall, or share it with family and friends.

Congratulations, and see you next season.

Post for the recipient to share

This season I got my baseball season award from our coaches. It was a long spring of early practices, tough games and a great team, and I am proud of what we built together. Thank you to my coaches and teammates for a season I will remember. #Baseball #TeamSports #Teamwork

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
