Design notes

This portrait version stacks the score sheet for a tall page. The ten-frame strip of a perfect game sits near the top, totals rising from 30 to 300, with the tenth frame marked in red. Below it, the winner's name is written large on the BOWLER line, followed by the league, a short statement and a ruled table of high game, high series, average, standing, games bowled, format, date and credential ID. The QR code fills the tall total column, and the secretary and president sign at the foot. It fits a standard frame, a binder of league records or a club notice board.

About

Bowling Certificate Template, Portrait Score Sheet

Bowlers remember a season by its figures: the night they shot a 279, the series that topped 700, the average they carried from the first week to the last. League officers present awards for these at the season-end banquet, and youth programs, school clubs and corporate leagues do the same for their own champions and most improved players.

Wording on the template“Awarded for the highest season average in the league: a season of steady strikes, clean frames and spares picked up when they counted. Presented at the close of the season by the league officers, on behalf of every bowler and team in the league.”

Subject: name, your bowling award from this season is ready

Hi name,

Congratulations on a great season. The league officers have made your bowling award official, and it records the figures you earned on the lanes this year.

Open it to see your certificate, download a copy to print and frame, or share it on social media so your teammates and friends can celebrate with you.

Thank you for bowling with us, and we will see you on the lanes next season.

Post for the recipient to share

Our bowling league season ended this week, and I received the award for the highest average in the league. It took a whole season of league nights, a lot of spare practice and a team that kept me laughing between frames. Thank you to my teammates and the league officers who keep score every week. #Bowling #League

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
