Design notes

The design is built as a coach's count sheet. Eight motions sit in a thin ruled grid, four across and two down, each with its count number in the corner and its name under the figure. The arms rise count by count until the gold High V in the last cell. Above the grid are the logo, the Cheer Award title, the name in large condensed capitals, the program and a short statement. Season details, two signatures, the credential ID and the QR code line up on the grid's four columns.

About

Cheer Award Certificate Portrait, Eight Count

Portrait certificates hang well in a team room, a gym hallway or a trophy case, and parents like a page that fits a standard frame. This one suits an end-of-season award for a cheer athlete, from a school squad to an all-star program, when the coach wants the page to look like the squad's own paperwork.

Wording on the template“In recognition of outstanding spirit, skill and teamwork this season. Every count hit sharp, every stunt held with trust, and every game day led with energy that lifted the whole squad and the crowd behind it.”

Subject: Your cheer award is ready, name

Hi name,

Thank you for a great season. Your spirit, your work at practice and the way you lifted the squad on game days did not go unnoticed, and we want to recognise it properly.

Your cheer award is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print for your wall, or share it online so family and friends can celebrate with you.

Well done from the whole squad and the coaching team.

Post for the recipient to share

Proud to share my cheer award for this season. Every practice, every stunt group and every game day taught me about teamwork, trust and leading with energy, and I am thankful to my coaches and my squad. On to the next count. #cheerleading #teamwork #leadership

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
