Design notes

The portrait version is a deeper stage, seen from directly above, with four pairs of black wing legs dividing it into bays. The name stands in the upper bay in a script hand, lit by a pool of light, on a burgundy spike mark. Further downstage come the program and the statement, then the skills in two centred lines, then the level, duration, assessment, issue date and credential ID. Two signatures and the QR code wait at the front, just above the gold edge and its stage numbers. It suits dance studios, school clubs and summer intensives.

About

Dance Certificate Template, Centre Stage Portrait

Parents often keep dance certificates in a folder or frame them beside a recital photo, so a tall sheet is a natural choice for children and teenagers moving through a dance school's levels. Teachers award it when a student completes a grade in ballet, contemporary, jazz or tap, after the class has learned a new routine and danced it on stage in front of family and friends.

Wording on the template“Awarded for the intermediate level with excellent progress: a year of classes in technique, choreography and musicality, closing with the year's choreography performed on stage at the annual recital with sound technique, clear musicality and real presence.”

Subject: Congratulations, name: your dance certificate is here

Hi name,

What a year! You have worked hard in class, learned new steps and routines, and danced them on stage with real confidence. We are very proud of your progress.

Your dance certificate is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print for your wall, or share it with your family and on LinkedIn so they can celebrate with you.

We can't wait to see you back in the studio next term.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

After a year of classes, rehearsals and one very nervous night on stage, I have completed the intermediate level at my dance school. Thank you to my teachers for every correction and every word of encouragement, and to the friends I shared the studio with. On to the next level. #Dance #DanceLife

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
