Design notes

Here the track is turned on end. One bend arches across the top of the page and the straights run down both sides off the bottom edge, with staggered start marks in the curve and the finish line low on the left straight, level with the verification code. The tall infield holds the logo, the recipient's name, the program, a citation, achievement chips, the season details, two signatures, the date of issue and the credential ID, all centred in clean condensed type on chalk-white paper.

About

Sports Award Certificate Template, Running Track Arch

Many schools and junior clubs print their sports awards upright, to fit a report folder, a noticeboard or a standard frame. A portrait certificate suits the annual sports awards, a house athletics trophy, a swimming gala or a league medal, and it is easy to hand over on stage. Coaches use it to record the season, the category and the level reached, and a principal or club chair signs it beside the head of sport so the award carries weight with families and future teams.

Wording on the template“In recognition of a season of performances that raised the standard of the whole team, of commitment at every training session and competition, and of the fair play shown to team mates and opponents alike, from the first day of the season to the last.”

Subject: Congratulations, name: your sports award is here

Hi name,

What a season. Your effort at every training session and on match days did not go unnoticed, and the coaching team is proud to present you with this sports award.

Your certificate and badge are ready. Open them to see your award, download a copy to print for your wall, or share it with your family, friends and team mates. If you are applying for a team or a scholarship, it is a good record to show them.

Well done, and see you at training next season.

Post for the recipient to share

This season ended with a sports award I did not expect. Thank you to my coach for pushing me at every early training session, and to my team mates for making the hard days fun. Proud of what we achieved together, and already looking forward to next season. #Sports #Teamwork #Athletics

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
