Design notes

This landscape page is the council table seen from above. Its navy edge is the frame, a ring of school chairs runs round it with a small place card at every seat, and the gold chair at the head of the table belongs to the recipient. The record lies on the table top: the name, the program, a short statement, six achievements as a single row of chips, then the term, office, meetings, issue date and credential ID. MOVED BY and SECONDED BY signatures sit either side of the QR code, a nod to the council's own meeting procedure.

About

Student Council Certificate Template, Seat at the Table

Schools give a certificate for student council service when a term ends, often at the final assembly or the awards evening. It thanks class representatives, secretaries, treasurers and presidents for the meetings they attended, the events they ran and the way they carried their classmates' ideas to staff. The faculty advisor and the principal usually sign it, and many students keep it for their college and scholarship applications.

Wording on the template“Elected by fellow students to speak for them, this member served a full term on the student council, carried the student voice to the school's leadership and helped lead events for the whole school.”

Subject: Thank you for your year on the student council, name

Dear name,

Thank you for your term on the student council. Your time at meetings, the events you helped run and the ideas you brought from your classmates made a real difference to our school this year.

Your certificate of recognition is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print for your portfolio, or share it with family and friends, and on your college applications if you wish.

We hope you stay involved. The new council will learn a lot from what you did.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

This year I served as class representative on my school's student council. I learned how to run a meeting, speak for my classmates, and help plan events for the whole school. Thank you to our faculty advisor and to my fellow council members for a great year. Proud to share my certificate. #StudentCouncil #StudentLeadership

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
