Design notes

This badge is the tourniquet itself, closed into a loop: a ring of stitched charcoal webbing with a slate buckle at the foot and the windlass rod locked in its orange clip at the top. STOP THE BLEED and TRAINED sit large on the plain face inside, so the words still read on a LinkedIn profile or an email signature. It suits employee safety programs and volunteer responder rosters, and it shares its look with the matching certificates.

About

Stop the Bleed Badge Template, Windlass Tourniquet

A bleeding control course is short, but people remember it, and many want to show they took it. In a typical session, learners use training kits to find life-threatening bleeding, apply firm direct pressure, pack a wound on a trainer and put on a tourniquet. Schools, workplaces, fire and police departments, community groups and first aid trainers run these classes, and a digital badge is a quick way to show who is ready to help.

Subject: name, your bleeding control training certificate is here

Hi name,

Thank you for joining our bleeding control class and for practising every step on the trainers, from firm pressure to the tourniquet. You are now one of the people around you who knows what to do in the first minutes after a serious injury.

Your certificate is waiting for you. View it online, save a copy for your records or print it, and share it on LinkedIn if you like. Keep an eye on the valid-until date, and we will invite you back for a refresher.

With thanks, The training team

Post for the recipient to share

I spent part of this week in a hands-on bleeding control class with our safety team. We practised applying pressure, packing a wound on a trainer and putting on a tourniquet until it felt routine. I hope I never need it, but I am glad I now know what to do while help is on the way. Thank you to our instructors. #StopTheBleed #BleedingControl #FirstAid
