Design notes

This landscape version turns the page into the volunteer coordinator's clipboard: a hardboard frame, a brass spring clip at the top and a ruled cream sheet. A form strip carries the record, the issue date and the credential ID; the volunteer's name sits in script on the first sign-up line, and the service given is a grid of rows ticked in orange pen beside the role and term. Two signature lines, one for the coordinator, and a QR code close the sheet. It suits organisations that want a warm, practical thank-you rather than a formal diploma.

About

Volunteer Certificate Template, Sign-Up Sheet Landscape

Food banks, charities, hospitals, schools and community groups hand a certificate of appreciation to volunteers at the end of a season, a project or a year of shifts. It records the person's role, how long they served and the kinds of help they gave, from sorting donations and running events to mentoring young people, and it is often what a student shows for service-learning hours or a job application.

Wording on the template“has given generous time and steady hands to our community: sorting and serving at the food bank, helping our events run smoothly and mentoring young people. Every shift made a real difference to the people we serve.”

Subject: Thank you for volunteering with us, name

Hi name,

Thank you for the time and care you gave as a volunteer this season. Every shift you covered and every person you helped made a real difference to our community, and we noticed.

Your certificate of appreciation is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print, or share it on LinkedIn so others can see the service you gave.

With warm thanks from the whole team.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

This season I volunteered with a local community program, helping at the food bank, at events and with younger students. Today I received a certificate of appreciation, and it reminded me how much I learned from the people I worked beside. Thank you to our volunteer coordinator and the whole team for making every shift count. #Volunteering #CommunityService

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.
