Design notes

The tall page reads as the long side of a cutting mat, with a green ruler scale down the left edge only. One column holds the title, the name, the program and the statement. Below it, four skill cells sit two by two, then the details in three columns. The foot carries two signers and a QR code in a ruled cell, and one ochre 45 degree guide rises from the bottom corner. It works well for classes and young learners.

About

Workshop Certificate Template, Cutting Mat Portrait

A portrait certificate suits a workshop that people want to frame or pin up: a school's holiday workshop, a library's maker session, a staff training day. Students and trainees receive it once they have completed the practical exercises, and it records the hours, the date and who ran the session.

Wording on the template“Four hours at the bench: guided exercises worked through step by step, small-group practice with feedback from the facilitators and peers, and practical takeaways ready to use at work the next day.”

Subject: Your workshop certificate is ready, name

Hi name,

Thank you for taking part in our workshop. It was a pleasure to see you work through the exercises and share your ideas with the group.

Your certificate of completion is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print, or share it on LinkedIn so others can see what you practised.

We hope to see you at the next one.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

Today I finished a hands-on workshop and received my certificate of completion. Four hours of guided exercises, small-group practice and honest feedback from the facilitators and the other people in the room. I leave with practical skills I can use at work tomorrow. Thank you to the team who ran it. #Workshop #ContinuousLearning #Upskilling

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.
