Design notes
The portrait version is the carton's end panel. A die-cut hand hold sits at the top, above the logo, organisation and title, then three handling marks: this way up, centre of gravity and no hand hooks. A full-width shipping label carries the name, the statement, the program, the credential ID, the dates and the QR code. Under it, the contents checklist and the details box stand side by side, with two signatures at the foot. The tall format suits a staff file, a binder or a noticeboard.
About
Manual Handling Certificate, Marked Carton Portrait
A manual handling certificate is the record a supervisor, an auditor or a client asks to see when someone moves stock, equipment or materials by hand. It names the trainee and lists the ground the course took in, from assessing a load with TILE to lifting as a team and using mechanical aids, with the date the person should be re-checked. Employers and trainers keep a copy on file; the trainee keeps one too.
Wording on the template“has completed manual handling training and the practical session: assessing each load before moving it, then lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling it safely, alone and as a team.”More wording ideas for manual handling certificates

Subject: name, your manual handling training certificate is ready
Hi name,
Thank you for taking part in our manual handling training. You worked through the risk assessment and the practical lifts with care, and the whole team is safer for it.
Your certificate is ready. Open it to see the skills and the date for your next refresher, download a copy to print for your file, or share it on LinkedIn. Keep it handy: a supervisor or a client may ask to see it.
Best regards, The training team

Post for the recipient to share
I completed manual handling training this week. The practical session changed how I look at every box and trolley at work: check the task, my own limits, the load and the space before I move anything, and ask for a second pair of hands or a lifting aid when it makes sense. Thank you to our trainer for a clear and useful course. #ManualHandling #WorkplaceSafety

Printing
Printing it well
Print at actual size
Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.
Use card, not paper
A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.
Frame it
A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.
Mind the edges
Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
