Design notes

This landscape version reads like a workplace record set on one left edge. The host company sits at the top right, then the title, the OJT line, the trainee's name, the program, a short statement and the competencies. The hours rendered appear on a steel-rimmed drum counter with four figures and a red, checked last drum, standing on one rule with the department and the training period. Below are signatures for the training supervisor and the HR manager, the credential ID, the date issued and a QR code. It suits host companies, HR teams and school OJT coordinators.

About

On-the-Job Training (OJT) Certificate Template, Landscape

On-the-job training puts a trainee inside a real workplace, doing real tasks under a supervisor until a set number of hours is complete. In the Philippines, college students render OJT hours as part of their degree and senior high students do work immersion; elsewhere, employers run OJT for new hires, apprentices and staff who move to a new role. When the hours are signed off, the host company, and sometimes the school, issues a certificate of completion that states the hours rendered.

Wording on the template“For satisfactorily rendering the required hours of supervised On-the-Job Training at the host company, carrying out real work under a supervisor, safely and to the standard of the workplace.”

Subject: name, your OJT certificate is ready

Hi name,

Congratulations on completing your on-the-job training with us. You rendered every hour, took on real work and learned the way our team does things, and your supervisor has signed off your training.

Your OJT certificate is ready. Open it to check your hours, department and training period, download and print a copy for your school or your records, and share it on LinkedIn.

Thank you for your hard work, and all the best in your next step.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

I have completed my on-the-job training. Over the past weeks I rendered my OJT hours with a real team, learned how the work is done day to day and took on tasks I had only read about in class. Thank you to my supervisor and colleagues for their patience and guidance. #OJT #OnTheJobTraining

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.
