Design notes

The portrait page is built on one centred axis for a sheet that goes into a folder or a frame. A round hour meter, dark with a steel bezel, sits under the logo and host company, its drum window showing the hours rendered with the last drum red and checked. Under it come the title, the OJT line, the name, the program and a short statement, then the department and training period, the competencies and a fine tick scale. Two signatures sit either side of the QR code, with the date issued and the credential ID at the foot, inside a thin frame.

About

On-the-Job Training (OJT) Certificate Template, Portrait

Hours are the heart of an OJT record. A student trainee, a work immersion learner or a new employee spends weeks on real tasks at a host company, and the supervisor confirms the hours once the required total is reached. The certificate that follows is often filed with the school's practicum requirements, attached to a job application or kept in a training file, so it must say who trained, where, for how long and under whom.

Wording on the template“For satisfactorily rendering the required hours of supervised On-the-Job Training at the host company, carrying out real work under a supervisor, safely and to the standard of the workplace.”

Subject: name, your OJT certificate is ready

Hi name,

Congratulations on completing your on-the-job training with us. You rendered every hour, took on real work and learned the way our team does things, and your supervisor has signed off your training.

Your OJT certificate is ready. Open it to check your hours, department and training period, download and print a copy for your school or your records, and share it on LinkedIn.

Thank you for your hard work, and all the best in your next step.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

I have completed my on-the-job training. Over the past weeks I rendered my OJT hours with a real team, learned how the work is done day to day and took on tasks I had only read about in class. Thank you to my supervisor and colleagues for their patience and guidance. #OJT #OnTheJobTraining

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
